What is means to be a member
Two events are held each year. In February we have our state competition at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point and in August we have our Summer Rendezvous. The Rendezvous changes locations every couple of years to different areas around the state. Each event is packed full of fun, education and camaraderie. Membership also allows you to pre-register for the February competition at a discount. Along with the opportunity to compete, you will have one-on-one time to review your entry with the judges.
As a member, you may attend free seminars put on by some of the best international, national and state taxidermists today. These seminars are packed full of information for taxidermists by taxidermists. Taxidermy vendors also attend the events and often offer a discount or incentive on their supplies. Both of these events are opportunities to meet with fellow WTA members, enjoy good food and conversation, and take part in the events of the evening.
The membership year is from January 1 to December 31. Members receive a membership card and certificate, access to our Insight newsletter and annual report. The WTA membership list is also available on our website. The WTA also keeps its members up-to-date on state and national policies that are directed at our profession. The WTA is a family, a family of people who all have taxidermy on the brain and becoming an active part of this family may benefit you as well as us in ways we never would have imagined. So join today and become a member of the WTA family.
